Claiming the prize

This is the most brilliant analysis I have come accross regarding the invasion of Iraq. Outstanding. Chris Floyd get's Bardo Surfer's "greatest journalist on the planet award for the 2000-2010 decade". Congratulations and thank you Mister Floyd.

Good article, but your link doesn't seem to work: here it is again: Claiming the Prize.

Oil wealth is poisonous for so many people -- it could be a source of prosperity for a country, but its extraction and production are a big centralized thing that is a prize to be fought over and seized by different factions. Seems like the long term strategy for Iraqis ought to be to foster a more diverse economy where there isn't just one big juicy black prize sitting underneath a barren desert.

Thanks Chris, I actually found a better link. That empire Burleque one has some bugs.

Yeah on the resource grab. Just look at Africa's conflict diamonds. Ugh.
