I see my shadow

I see my shadow
And it sees me
To cross the abyss
Takes humility

So I ask, pray and sing

When I descend into my darkness
Please do not let me fall asleep
Don’t let a dream world
Mock my existence
Don’t let illusions
Take over me
And if I fall down
Let me remember
To please do it with grace

I see my angel

Look for the sparkle in all I meet
And realize compassion
